MEET THE TEAM

Tyler Noble, DO FAAOS
Founding partner/Hardware Design
Private Pilot, Instrument
Tyler, the founder of Noble Flight Simulation, has always been fascinated with aviation. He obtained his private certificate in 2003 followed by his instrument rating the following year. His fascination with flight simulation began during his college years when he designed and built a full motion simulator cockpit from scratch.
After earning his Bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech, he attended medical school and now calls upon his engineering background in the operating room as an orthopedic joint replacement surgeon. When not designing flight simulator hardware, Dr. Noble is actively involved with artificial joint implant development. He was recently named one of the top 6 hip and knee replacement surgeons in the state of South Carolina and was a key surgeon for earning Conway Medical Center recognition as the #1 hospital in South Carolina for joint replacement.
Listen to Dr. Noble talk about Aviation, Orthopedics and what got him started in flight simulation on Device Nation Podcast.

Austin Fang, PhD
Partner/Software Development
Commercial Pilot, Instrument
Austin’s background is in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He is also a pilot and obtained his private certificate in 2003 with and an instrument rating in 2020. Austin earned his Bachelor’s degree and Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. He worked at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for 10 years where he was responsible for vibration and acoustic reduction. He was a recipient of a full scholarship in Sikorsky’s continuing education program which resulted in a second Masters of Science degree and a Doctorate, both in Aerospace Engineering. His experience traveling the world and fixing rotorcraft issues shaped his attitude towards customer service. Customer requests are treated like an aircraft on ground (AOG) situation deserving the time and resources required to fix it quickly and efficiently.

Yang Wang
Software Engineer
Yang graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2011 where he majored in Electronics and Information Engineering. He spent four years at the major internet company, Baidu.com, working on internet search engine and other web-based development projects. In 2016, Yang started a mobile internet business based in Wuhan, China. Yang started to work with Noble Flight Simulation in 2018. Since then, he's been a major contributor for software development.

Brandon Bawgus
Production/Operations Manager
Brandon has always been mechanically inclined and brings a diverse skillset to the NFS Team as the production and operations manager. Brandon is responsible for the production of all hardware in our Myrtle Beach facility. He holds a master mechanic certification from Subaru and worked for several years as lead mechanic for an American Le Mans racing team. Although not currently a pilot, his work with NFS has planted the seed!

Michael Smith
Director, Technical Support
Michael Smith has a lifelong passion for aviation and technologies, and has developed many skills related to these fields. Throughout his career, he has worked for a wide variety of aerospace contractors including NASA, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Lockheed-Martin, Boing, and General Atomics (Just to name a few). He has been professionally involved in flight simulation for well over a decade, and as a result, became proficient in various avionics types ranging from 6 pack steam gauges to the Cirrus Perspective Plus and most everything in between.
His passion extends beyond aviation and is well versed in network infrastructure, various operating systems including Linux, and electronics.
He’s become an industry leader in the field of flight simulation, and provides services to private pilots, flight instructors, colleges, and even government agencies across the globe.
